What will I do when I lose weight?

Sparkpeople is a weight loss/fitness site I used it for a while, sometimes tracking food and exercise, other times just tracking exercise.  There’s message boards, articles, et cetera.

One of the more popular topics was “What I’ll do when I’ve lost weight”.  Like wearing shorts, or a tank top, or a swimsuit. This was surprising, but also a bit sad.  Why?

Those are things I already do.

I go on trips.  I buy and wear clothing that fits.  I go dancing with my sweetie.  I flirt back at people who flirt with me. I’m not waiting for my life to begin.

My life is now.

There is nothing morally wrong with living your life at the weight you happen to have.

A-freaking-men to that. My weight hasn’t stopped me from living a more fulfilling life than average.

  3. I swear – I truly do envy your self-esteem. See, I’m actually one of those girls who happens to be a “Well, when I get down to my goal weight, I’m going to flirt more, go out more, wear those cute tops and short skirts, etc”. I mean, I’ve had self-conscious problems for years now and I literally felt like I could no life at all because I was practically one of the fattest girls in my school.

I’m still pretty low in the self-esteem, but since dropping some weight I’ve found myself feeling better, though. : ]
