Any time I see anything about a supplement that’s supposed to help me lose weight, I apply the “does it sound too good to be true?” test. Every time, those supplements meet that criteria, and I just have to say “yeah, right, and I have some ocean-front property for y’all to buy, right here in Minnesota.” If those supplements were safe, the manufacturers would have had them approved by the FDA (and even then, I wouldn’t trust that those supplements didn’t have nasty side effects). After all, the FDA approved phen-fen, and look where that got us.
